PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of preventing misalignment of pipe connecting members in manufacturing. SOLUTION: A condenser applying this heat exchanger includes a pair of header tanks 3, a plurality of heat exchange tubes 4 arranged in parallel between the header tanks 3, the pipe connecting members 16 fixed to the header tanks 3, and mounting members 18 for mounting the pipe connecting members 16 to the header tanks 3. Slits 26 for inserting the mounting members 18 are formed on cylindrical bodies 7 of the header tanks 3. The mounting members 18 are brazed to the header tanks 3 through the slits 26. The pipe connecting members 16 are brazed to the header tanks 3 and the mounting members 18 in a state of being temporarily fixed to the mounting members 18. Fitting projecting sections 31 are formed on first parts 27 existing in the header tanks 3, of the mounting members 18, and fitting recessed sections 32 to which the fitting projecting sections 31 are fitted, are formed on peripheral walls of the cylindrical bodies 7 of the header tanks 3. Fitting groove 23 are formed on the pipe connecting members 16, and fitting sections 33 fitted into the fitting grooves 23 and brazed to the pipe connecting members 16 are formed on parts positioned outside of the header tanks 3, of the mounting members 18.
