The glass element is subjected to hydrochloric acid prior to encapsulation in the plastic of the holder. The invention further relates to a hybrid optic comprising an optical glass element and a holder made of plastic, wherein at least one contact segment of the glass element contacts the holder. The glass element is made of borosilicate glass or the holder is made of acrylnitrile butadiene styrol (ABS) or of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS).</p>
