PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device capable of creating and displaying a sound source estimation image, which shows a sound source direction estimated when taking a image, while sound information and image information are being collected. SOLUTION: The device includes a sound/image collection unit 10 in which microphones M1 to M5 are integrated with a camera 12. In the method, sound pressure waveform data and image data, obtained by performing an A/D conversion on a sound pressure signal and an image signal collected by using the sound/image collection unit 10, are stored temporarily in a buffer 31. Predetermined sampling numbers of the sound pressure waveform data are extracted in order from the buffer 31, and a sound source direction is estimated. The image data corresponding to the sound pressure waveform data used to estimate the sound source direction are extracted from the buffer 31, and the sound source direction data and the image data are synthesized to generate the sound source estimation image G, on which a graphic to indicate the sound source direction is drawn, and be displayed on a display screen 40M of a display device 40.
