PURPOSE: A moisture-proof LED package is provided to extend the lifetime of the LED package by forming a moisture-proof hole on a lead terminal at the optimal position of minimizing moisture penetration. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting diode is mounted on a first lead terminal (11). A second lead terminal (12) is separated from the first lead terminal. A housing substrate supports the first lead terminal and the second lead terminal. A cavity (21) is located on the housing substrate and surrounds the light emitting diode. A protective member is filled in the cavity. The first lead terminal and the second lead terminal are extended from the cavity to the side of a housing by passing through the housing. One of the lead terminal and the second lead terminal includes a hole formed on an area in which a part is overlapped with a housing sidewall around the cavity. |
