A support apparatus (1) for use during plyometric exercise comprises a resilient body (2) having a cuboid shape. A flexible cover (24) is provided that surrounds the body (2). The cuboid body (2) has a height, width and depth which are all of different lengths to each other such that the apparatus (1) may be arranged in three different orientations in which the uppermost face defines a landing platform of three different heights. The body (2) comprises a foam core (16) and a shock absorbing layer (18) located at and bonded to the outer surface of the core that surrounds and encapsulates the core. The shock absorbing layer (18) is formed of a foam material having a density greater than the foam core (16) and is located at all six sides of the apparatus such that the intermediate layer (18) is located at the upper face of the apparatus (1) to define a landing platform whatever the orientation of the apparatus (1). |
