The invention provides a discharge lamp and a light source device with the same. In the discharge lamp of an IC tag which records various kinds of information for safely lighting, overload is not applied to a power supply line or a luminous tube, and the discharge lamp can be assembled to a lighting device in a state that the IC tag is collocated at the required position. The discharge lamp comprises a luminous tube (11), a pair of electrodes, a power supply mechanism (20), an IC tag (40) and a holder (30), wherein the pair of electrodes are collocated mutually opposite in the luminous tube (11); the power supply mechanism (20) consists of a power supply line (21) for supplying power to the electrodes and a power supply terminal (22) integrally fixed at the front end of the power supply line (21); and the holder (30) accommodates the IC tag (40) and is made of insulating material. The discharge lamp is characterized in that: the holder (30) can be rotationally arranged on the power supply mechanism (20) by using the power supply line (21) or the power supply terminal (22) as a rotating shaft. |
