PURPOSE: A hot rolling system and a method thereof are provided to prevent the rolling bar from being blocked for the entry to the bar heater by the leading end upturn. CONSTITUTION: A hot rolling system comprises a roughing mill (10), a leading end detection unit (20), an upturn determining unit (30), a leading end cutter (40), a bar heater (50), and an finishing rolling mill (70). The roughing mill rolls the slab of the predetermined steel type to the predetermined thickness and manufactures the rolling bar. The leading end detection unit detects the shape of the leading end of the rolling bar. The upturn determining unit determines the leading end upturn generation of the rolling bar. If the leading end upturn is determined to be generated by the upturn determining unit, the leading end cutter cuts the leading end of the rolling bar in the predetermined length. The bar heater heats the rolling bar which is manufactured by the roughing mill. The finishing rolling bar rolls the rolling bar which is heated in the bar heater and manufactures the strip.
