The present invention relates to a method for controlling power consumption of an electric vehicle using an air conditioner. The present invention informs a user of air conditioning capacity of the air conditioner by measuring power consumption of a compressor using an interaction formula between the air conditioning capacity of the air conditioner and the power consumption consumed by the compressor used in the air conditioner of an electric vehicle or informs the user of the power consumption of the compressor by measuring the capacity of the air conditioner, thereby effectively using power necessary for the drive of an electric vehicle at the most while using the air conditioner at the optimal conditions by controlling power consumption of the electric vehicle according to capacity of the air conditioner.
