The present invention relates to a pulverizing mill equipped with a device for sensing and extinguishing fire, comprising: a housing forming the exterior thereof; a feeding unit through which pulverized coal is fed into the housing; an accommodating unit accommodating the pulverized coal fed from the feeding unit; a grinding unit grinding the pulverized coal at the upper part of the accommodating unit; a sorting unit into which the pulverized coal ground in the grinding unit is fed and circulates and which drops pulverized coal which has a larger size than a set size from the fed pulverized coal; a discharging unit through which pulverized coal which has a smaller size than the set size from the pulverized coal fed from the feeding unit or ground in the grinding unit is discharged while circulating inside the housing; and a sensing unit disposed inside the housing and sensing the presence of flammable gas or fire. By means of the pulverizing mill equipped with a device for sensing and extinguishing fire according to an embodiment of the present invention, flammable gas is sensed and analyzed to predict if a fire will occur, and if a fire is predicted, an extinguishing material is sprayed to reduce the concentration of the flammable gas so that a fire can be prevented or a fire can be immediately extinguished.
