The present invention relates to a partial discharge coupler for detecting a power apparatus which includes: a patch antenna detecting a partial discharge ultra-high frequency (UHF) signal generated inside the power apparatus; a cavity disposed to protect the patch antenna outside the patch antenna; and a wave absorber formed inside the cavity to absorb radio waves. According to the present invention, the partial discharge coupler can prevent the UHF signal which is generated inside the power device to be scattered by the cavity thereby improving the sensitivity of the sensor when the partial discharge is measured.
