The invention relates to marine seismic exploration and can be used for the 3D exploration of oil and gas in waters having a wide range of depths and in sea-land transition zones, as well as for the active and passive monitoring of marine hydrocarbon deposits during the development thereof, for rarefied marine 3D operations and for studying the earth's crust. The essence of the invention is that autonomous, self-surfacing, multi-component seabed recorders are arranged on the bed of the waters in a survey area at given intervals along parallel profiles with the aid of a recording vessel. At least one source, situated on an emitting vessel, continuously emits seismic vibrations. The emitting vessel travels between the profiles along which the seabed recorders are arranged in a direction parallel thereto. At the start of the operation, the emitting vessel is situated at a distance R from the first seabed recorder profile arrangement, which distance is equal to 0.5D≤R≤D, where D is the width of the survey area. Each seabed recorder records the seismic vibrations. Once the emitting vessel has travelled along half of the profiles, the recording vessel begins to transfer the seabed recorders continuously to the next profiles, starting with the seabed recorders arranged on the first profile. The seabed recorders are collected by the recording vessel as it moves continuously along the seabed recorder profiles, the recording vessel being equipped with hydrophones that provide an acoustic connection with the seabed recorders. The data received is then processed, which involves separating the primary and multiple waves in the recorded vibrations by summing the vertical component of the vector of the seabed particle velocity and the pressure fluctuations in the water, and plotting three dimensional depth and time images of the survey area on the basis of the received data. |
