The present invention relates to an apparatus for producing flat flakes. The apparatus for producing flat flakes according to the present invention comprises: a main body (100) provided with a spiral protrusion (110) formed on the inner circumferential surface in a length direction and provided with an inlet (120) at one side and an outlet (130) at the other side; a screw (200) provided in the main body (100) to convey crops from the inlet (120) to the outlet (130), wherein the screw (200) generates heat; a molding frame (300) including a hoper (140) connected to the inlet (120) to supply crops therethrough and a molding hole (310) connected to the outlet (130) and having a predetermined shape, wherein the molding hole (310) molds the external circumferential surface of the crops discharged from the outlet (130) to have a predetermined shape; a cutting unit (400) for cutting the crops passing through the molding hole (310) into a predetermined size; a compressing roller (500) for flatly compressing the crop cut by the cutting unit (400); a first sensor (600) provided in the main body (100) to measure the pile height of crops in the main body (100); an opening and closing plate (630) for opening and closing the inlet (120); and a controller (700) for receiving information about the pile height of crops from the first sensor (600), and then operating the opening and closing plate (630) to close the inlet (120) if the pile height of crops is equal to or higher than a predetermined height and operating the opening and closing plate (630) to open the inlet (120) if the pile height of crops is equal to or lower than the predetermined height. |
