<p>Producing block copolymer containing polyarylene ether and polyalkylene oxide blocks, comprises reacting a hydroxy group-terminated polyarylene ether with a monomeric alkylene oxide. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the block copolymer, preferably a triblock copolymer containing polyalkylene oxide-poly(aryl ether)-polyalkylene oxide-block, which is obtainable by the above method; (2) a molding composition comprising at least one block copolymer (1-60 wt.%, based on the molding composition); and (3) a membrane comprising the block copolymer or the molding composition.</p> |
