A wind power generator and a method for maintaining a wind power generator are disclosed. A wind power generator according to an embodiment of the present invention transmits rotational energy of a rotor to a nacelle side through a main shaft to generate electricity, and comprises a rotor lock device fixing the rotation of the rotor. The rotor lock device includes: a disc fixed and coupled to an outer periphery surface of the main shaft, and having a recess portion opened in a radius direction of the main shaft; pins inserted into pin holes provided in the disc; and a pin driving unit causing the pins to move forward or backward against the pin holes, wherein when the pins are inserted into the pin holes and the rotation of the rotor is fixed, the recess portion provides a passage allowing an operator to move between insides of a nacelle and the rotor. |
