An apparatus and method for providing insurance coverage services are disclosed. The insurance coverage service providing apparatus comprises: an interface which extracts the name of a diagnosed disease and personal identification information regarding a patient from a guarantee details request by being linked with the guarantee details request from a hospital terminal; and a processor which retrieves insurance corresponding to the personal identification information from a database, identifies insurance related to the name of the diagnosed disease among the retrieved insurance, and provides the identified insurance to the hospital terminal.
