The invention relates to the road-building materials and to the methods for the production thereof and can be used for paving roadways, bridges, aerodromes and hydraulic structures. The invention discloses a modifying composition containing an active rubber powder, the particle size of which is equal to or less than 0.8 mm and a specific geometric surface is not less than 5000 cm/g, and which is produced by thermomechanically grinding vulcanized rubber in the presence of an adhesion reducing powder. The composition also contains a needle-shaped metasilicate, a gel initiator and at least one cross-linking agent which has an increased inductive cross-linking time and is selected from a group comprising an oligomer epoxy ester resin, epoxy-diane resin and a polycondensing resin contributing to the formation of branched or cross-linked structures with the following component ratio: 65-90 mass% active rubber powder, 4-25 mass% needle-shaped metasilicate, 1.0-4.5 mass% gel initiator and 1.7-6.0 mass% cross-linking agent or agents. The invention also relates to the process for preparing a modified asphalt-concrete mixture involving mixing crushed stone, sand, a mineral powder, bitumen and the modifying composition. The modified asphalt concrete is characterised by a low number of open pores, high water resistance and shear resistance, is more deformative and elastic, which makes it possible to improve the behaviour thereof at positive and negative temperatures. |
