The mixing element (100) has an inlet element which is arranged upstream of the installation portion (101) that is connected to one another through a connection element. The inlet passage opens into a pre-chamber that is bounded by the outlet side of the main portion by the connection element. The ratio of the cross-sectional area of the remaining free cross-sectional area and of the continuation passage in a sectional plane is laid normal to the longitudinal axis and is arranged at the mixer entry amounts to at least 4:1.
