An electronic coupon system and an operation method using the RFID are provided to use RFID for receiving the incentive by transmitting a coupon provided from a corresponding store by the scanning operation of the RFID tag in a terminal, and notifying the use of the received coupon from the terminal to a server. An electronic coupon system comprises: A mobile communications terminal(100) for receiving the available coupon information corresponds to the RFID code which is drawn from a scanned RFID tag; an object directory service server(130) for determining the location information of a server relating to the RFID code, and transmitting the information to the mobile communications terminal; and an electronics coupon server(140) for transmitting the authentication information to the mobile communications terminal, if a coupon usage invitation command is received from the mobile communications terminal. |
