PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing a Cedrela sinensis A. Juss extract for preventing and treating thrombosis is provided to efficiently suppress thrombosis, and to prevent and treat thrombosis such as ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke by improving blood circulation. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a material which suppresses thrombin and platelet aggregation from Cedrela sinensis A. Juss comprises: a step of extracting Cedrela sinensis A. Juss with water or an organic solvent; a step of sequentially fractioning with organic solvents; and a step of purifying by a molecular sieve. The organic solvent for extraction is selected from a spirit, hydrous or anhydrous C1-C4 alcohols, and a mixture of the low carbon number alcohol and water. The material is polysaccharides with a molecule weight of 30 kDa or greater, and has heat and acid stability. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating thrombosis contains the material, a fraction thereof, or a crude purified material as an active ingredient.
