A device for controlling the steam output of a vessel and a method thereof are disclosed. The device for controlling the steam output of the vessel comprises: one or more steam requiring devices; a boiler for generating steam to be supplied to the steam requiring device; and a control unit for determining the target steam generation amount by using current position information of the vessel and steam requiring amount data of each region previously stored and controlling the boiler to generate steam corresponding to the determined target steam generation amount.
