A contents transmission control method according to content type and a DCD server therefor are provided to improve effectiveness of contents management by managing the contents according to the content type and to provide DCD service which is satisfactory to users. A DCD CP(contents provider) transceiver manager(210) receives server contents meta data in which content type information and contents are included from the DCD CP and transmits a contents receiving confirming message to the DCD CP. A contents transmitting control manager(220) confirms content type information which the DCD CP transmitting administration unit receives, delivers the contents to one of push contents queue, pull contents queue and push/pull contents queue according to content type information and delivers an execution start instruction signal for running one or more of push transmitting processor and pull transmitting processor to a contents delivery manager(230). |
