The present invention relates to an apparatus and system for identifying friend or foe, which indirectly identifies friend or ore to a wake detected and traced by a radar. The apparatus and system for identifying friend or foe according to the embodiments of the present invention comprises: a wake analyzing part which analyzes a wake to one or more targets received from the radar; and a purge inference part which generates one or more parameters corresponding to the wake analyzed by the wake analyzing part and calculates a friend or foe identification value using the parameters.
