<p>The invention relates to a process for selling products by means of automatic vending machines, meant in particular for machines selling tobacco products or alcoholic drinks. According to the invention, the process is based on checking the age of the buyer who wants to purchase an item from the controlled products class and consists of the following stages: blocking the payment receiving device of the automatic vending machine until the product sale is permitted, achieving a remote visual checking of the buyer by means of communication means, the buyer's image being checked as for the compliance with the age requirements in a dispatch which attends at least two automatic vending machines and, depending on the check results, a decision of permitting or prohibiting the sale is made, further on, where the sale is permitted the payment receiving device will be unblocked to start the sale process, while, where a decision of prohibiting the sale is made, the payment receiving device remains in its blocked state and the product cannot be purchased.</p> |
