The present invention relates to a security light having a solar battery and a control method thereof, and more specifically, to a security light having a solar battery which enables independent power generation and a control method of the security light which enables remote monitoring of control and state information of the security light using ubiquitous sensor network (USN) communication. The security light having a solar battery according to the present invention is controlled by the steps of: sending intensity of illumination, humidity, and a temperature that are sensed by the security light, and operation state information of the security light to a remote operation office server; receiving a control signal of the remote operation office server; determining whether ID information included in the control signal is identical to a unique ID; an operating a lamp unit according to the control signal if the ID information included in the control signal is identical to the unique ID.
