602625 Disclosed is a combination comprising as component(s): (a) at least one 3-(3-dimethylamino-1-ethyl-2-methyl-propyl)-phenol of formula (I) (such as tapentadol), optionally in the form of one of its stereoisomers, a racemate or in the form of a mixture of its stereoisomers in any mixing ratio, or any corresponding acid addition salt thereof, and (b) at least one NMDA-antagonist selected from the group consisting of (R,S) ketamine, (S)-ketamine and memantine. Further disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition comprising a combination comprising (a) tapentadol hydrochloride; and b ketamine or memantine; which is formulated for oral, intravenous, intraarterial, intraperitoneal, intradermal, transdermal, intrathekal, intramuscular, intranasal, transmucosal, subcutaneous, or rectal administration for use in the treatment of pain selected from inflammatory pain, neuropathic pain, acute pain, chronic pain, visceral pain, migraine pain and cancer pain. |
