PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boom of a construction machine which can maintain high rigidity and strength thereof while suppressing weight increase.SOLUTION: A boom 1 includes: a pair of right and left side plates 2R, 2L which are arranged with a predetermined space and to which the base end of an arm cylinder 7 is rotatably mounted through a pin 9; and a top plate 3 which is stretched between the pair of right and left side plates 2R, 2L and fixed to the upper ends of the side plates 2R, 2L. The top plate 3 is installed so as to cover at least the base end of the arm cylinder 7. |
