An image editing device, for editing a combined photographic image formed by combining a plurality of images with a predetermined background image, comprises a combined photograph processing section for creating a combined photograph by combining a plurality of images with the background image in accordance with combining position of the combined photograph, an image compression section for dividing the combined photograph into a number of blocks of a specified number of pixels, and subjecting an image to lossy compression, a background portion image selection section for dividing the background image into the blocks, and selecting a plurality of blocks that include at least the combining position as a background portion image, and a storage section for storing an image that has been compressed by the image compression section, and the background portion image that has been selected by the background portion image selection section, as a single image file. |
