Disclosed are an anti-reflective coating and a method for forming an anti-reflective coating. The anti-reflective coating, which is formed between two media having different refractive indices to prevent the reflection of electromagnetic waves between the two media, has spatial distribution characteristics for dielectric constant and permeability according to a preset mathematical equation. This feature makes it possible to form an anti-reflective coating which can completely prevent light reflection between two media having different refractive indices.
