<p>The present invention provides a liquid crystal medium composition and a liquid crystal display using same. The liquid crystal medium composition comprises components: a liquid crystal material, a polymerizable monomer, and a sensitizer. The sensitizer has the strong absorbance regarding the ultraviolet light ranging from 300 nm to 360nm. The liquid crystal display comprises: an upper substrate and a lower substrate disposed to be parallel with each other, and a liquid crystal medium composition disposed between the upper substrate and the lower substrate. The present invention contains the sensitizer having the strong absorbance regarding the ultraviolet light ranging from 300 nm to 360nm, it can make the reaction wavelength of the polymerizable monomer be longer, and irradiation may be performed by using the ultraviolet light ranging from 300 nm to 360nm, so as to avoid the absorption band of the liquid crystal material, alleviate the damage caused by the ultraviolet light to the liquid crystal material and the alignment material PI, and improve the polymerization efficiency and evenness of the polymerizable monomer.</p> |
