PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion resistant steel material for an oil tank capable of efficiently preventing perforation of a bottom plate by suppressing pitting corrosion occurred in a bottom plate inner surface of the coated steel material in the oil tank for filling a crude oil, a heavy oil, a light oil and the like.SOLUTION: A component composition of a steel material is adjusted to be a composition containing, by mass%, C:0.03 to 0.25%, Si:0.01 to 0.50%, Mn:0.1 to 2.0%, P:0.035% or less, S:0.015% or less, Al:0.005 to 0.10%, N:0.001 to 0.01%, Nb:0.005 to 0.030%, Sn:0.01 to 0.2%, Cu:0.05 to 0.5% and Ni:0.03 to 0.3% and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and solid solution Nb of 0.002% or more is contained in the steel material. |
