摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal displacement correction unit for a machine tool that has a capability to infer a thermal displacement distance from an action of a machine tool, the temperature of regions or the like and correct a thermal displacement correction value, and, when adjusting the thermal displacement correction value so as to minimize a correction error, reduces errors in adjustment setting for the thermal displacement correction value.SOLUTION: A program is run to measure a machining point, and correction precision is checked. If the correction precision is unsatisfactory, adjustment of a thermal displacement correction value is set. The setting for adjustment of the thermal displacement correction value is reflected in the thermal displacement correction value and processing is terminated. The setting for adjustment of the thermal displacement correction value is made by displaying an image, moving the image according to a worker's manipulation, determining a moving direction of the machining point from a moving manipulation performed on the image, and storing the moving direction of the machining point and a moved distance in a memory of a numerical controller. The setting for adjustment of the thermal displacement correction value is completed by reading the moved distance of the machining point from the memory of the numerical control unit, determining an increase or decrease in the thermal displacement correction value from the moving direction of the machining point read from the memory of the numerical control unit, and adjusting the thermal displacement correction value.
