PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological information measuring apparatus which can be attached to the chest by easily fastening a belt with a moderate strength and properly control measurement and recording of biological information, and also to provide a method for operating the biological information measuring apparatus.SOLUTION: A biological information measuring apparatus 1 allows the degree of fastening of a belt 20 wrapped around the chest to be controlled with an expansion/contraction adjusting mechanism which adjusts a connection distance between an attachment 23 and a belt part 21 when a measurement part 10 fitted to the attachment 23 is rotated in a specific direction with the belt 20 attached to a person 100 to be measured. Also, at the same time, the state of the connection between connection terminals 14a, 14b of the measurement part 10 and contacts 31a. 31b of the attachment 23 is controlled to cause the power to the measurement part 10 to go on or off. |
