PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pollution-free type aqueous metal surface treatment composition containing no chromium and fluorine compounds that is excellent in properties such as processability, corrosion resistance, alkali resistance and lubricity and that may form the paint film having an adaptability to top coating.SOLUTION: An aqueous metal surface treatment composition containing: (A) 100 pts.mass of the resin solid content of an aqueous organic resin dispersion containing anionic aqueous polyurethane resin based on its solid resin content; (B) 0.1 to 5.0 pts.mass of an organic phosphate compound; (C) 5.0 to 50 pts.mass of colloidal silica; (D) 0.5 to 15 pts.mass of a vanadium compound; (E) 1.0 to 20 pts.mass of zirconium carbonate compound; (F) 0.1 to 5.0 pts.mass of a silane coupling agent; and (G) 5.0 to 30 pts.mass of a polyolefin wax and containing no fluorine compound.
