Provided is a wireless communication device whereby the size of an external memory can be greatly reduced, as well as shortening the startup time and the access time to the external memory, and extending the battery life. In this wireless communication device, a second low-speed timer (117) stores a reception timing timer value, and initiates a count at completion of a count by a first low-speed timer (116). A high-speed driving unit (130) has a reception timing timer (115) for initiating a count on the basis of the reception timing timer value, when the count in the second low-speed timer (117) has completed. When the count in the first low-speed timer (116) has completed, the high-speed driving unit (130) starts up and reads out the reception timing timer value from the second low-speed timer (117). When the count in the reception timing timer (115) has completed, the high-speed driving unit (130) initiates communication with a communication partner device, and stores in the second low-speed timer (117)a reception timing timer value for use during the next startup. |
