<p>The purpose of the invention is to mitigate impact noise or noise when supplying bars from a material rack to a guide rail. A bar stock feeder according to the present invention comprises a guide rail (30) and a material rack (100). The material shelf section (101) of the material rack comprises an upper face (102) on which a plurality of bars (B) are disposed, and a stopper (103) which abuts a first bar (B3) nearest to the guide rail. A blocking section (123), for blocking movement of a second bar (B4) second nearest to the guide rail, and a transfer element (121), for transferring the first bar to the guide rail, are provided. The material shelf section can move between an advanced position (101a), where the stopper is positioned above the guide rail, and a retracted position (101b). The transfer element has a receiving section (122) and can move between an upper position (121a), where the receiving section is positioned above the guide rail, and a lower position (121b), where the receiving section is positioned below the guide rail.</p> |
