<p>A light source device (3) is provided with: a lamp (23); a diaphragm unit (25); a CPU (41c) for allowing the diaphragm unit (25) to control the exit light quantity of illumination light on the basis of a target brightness signal (CS), said target brightness signal being generated on the basis of the brightness of a captured image of a subject; a CPU (41a) for switching illumination modes; and a mode switch (22a). When the mode switch (22a) designates switching from an illumination mode corresponding to an ordinary light observation mode to an illumination mode corresponding to a special light observation mode or vice versa, the CPU (41c) allows the diaphragm unit (25) to control the exit light quantity of illumination light on the basis of a correction value (DA), said correction value being determined by correcting a current diaphragm value (DC) upon the designation of switching using definite coefficients (αandβ), until the switching is completed by the CPU (41a).</p> |
