The present invention relates to a device for crushing food waste which is provided with a hammer member and which is capable of finely crushing the food waste and, more specifically, to a device for crushing food waste which is provided with a hammer member and which is disposed on a drain of a sink, the device comprising: an upper housing having an opening formed on the upper surface thereof and a predetermined crushing space provided therein; a lower housing connected to the lower side of the upper housing and having a predetermined containing space provided therein; a crushing unit which includes a first crushing member disposed on the bottom part of the crushing space and having a disk shape and multiple moving cutter blades provided along the circumferential surface thereof, and a second crushing member having the upper and lower surfaces opened at fixed heights, installed on the circumferential surface of the first crushing member, and having multiple fixed cutter blades provided on the inner surface thereof; and a drive unit provided in the containing space and rotating the first crushing member. The device is provided to smoothly discharge food waste without depositing any sediment to a terminal disposal plant of food waste when the food waste is finely crushed and discharged into sewers, to save costs for food waste disposal, and to prevent natural environment from being polluted due to food waste. |
