METHOD FOR ENLARGING IMAGE

Provided is a method for enlarging an image. The present invention is designed to solve the problem that the image enlargement speed is affected due to the high calculation complexity in a process of constructing a parameter of a non-local filter. The method comprises: classifying pixels of a low-resolution hr image into a low-resolution lr pixel category and an hr pixel category according to a pixel characteristic; determining, according to a pixel of an edge, a pixel of both the edge and the hr pixel category, respectively calculating a resemblance distance of the determined pixel of each hr pixel category and the pixel of the lr pixel category, and obtaining a pixel with a resemblance distance meeting the resemblance in the lr pixel category; and constructing a parameter of a non-local (nl) filter. A parameter of an nl filter is generated by calculating a high-resolution pixel category and a resemblance distance of a pixel of the high-resolution pixel category only, thereby simplifying the calculation complexity of the parameter of the nl filter.
