PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method capable of constructing an artificial sea bottom mounting-ridge of a desired shape by narrowing the floor width of blocks when the blocks are dropped from the sea surface.SOLUTION: In a method for constructing an artificial sea bottom mountain-ridge by piling blocks thrown from the sea surface to a sea bottom, a block group 10A is constructed by connecting three or more blocks 10 into an annular shape by a rope or wire 11 so that the average of the distance d between the confronting faces of substantially cubic blocks 10 may be 0.1 to 4.0 times as long as the length L of one side of the block 10. This block group 10A is thrown and piled on the sea bottom.
