The method involves applying foam particles (12) from a retaining container (20) to a cavity (18), and thermally connecting the foam particles with one another by inductive heating, where the foam particles are made from plastic. The foam particles are provided with electrically conducting material e.g. soot, carbon, nanotubes or metallic material i.e. aluminum. The metallic material is partially embedded into the plastic and/or provided as outer circumference-side coating of the foam particles, where the foam particles are arranged in a retaining area of a foil.
