Disclosed is a wireless speaker for wireless communications via WiFi. The wireless speaker is a speaker that can wirelessly transmit and receive signals to and from portable terminals, and includes: a wireless communication unit; a voice output unit; a power supply unit; and a control unit, wherein the wireless communication unit transmits a wireless signal and may perform wireless communications with portable terminals connected through wireless signals, the voice output unit outputs sound sources of audio files or video files embedded in the portable terminals connected through the wireless communication unit, the portable terminals download dedicated applications by using an internet network and are connected to the speaker using the dedicated applications, the power supply unit supplies electric power to the control unit, and the control unit monitors control signals input from the portable terminals through the dedicated applications and controls such that the sound sources of the audio files or video files are output through the voice output unit or the output of the sound sources is stopped according to the control signals input through the dedicated applications.
