PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steady gaze position detecting device capable of improving the accuracy of driver's steady gaze position on an image showing the periphery of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A steady gaze position detector (1) includes: an imaging part (4) for photographing at least a part of a scene in the periphery of a vehicle (10), and generating an image showing the scene; a visual line detecting part (11) for detecting the direction of a visual line of an occupant of the vehicle (10); a projection plane setting part (12) for setting a virtual plane at a position apart from the vehicle (10) by a distance to a position having the possibility that an object parallel to the advancing direction of the vehicle (10) and gazed from the vehicle (10) by the occupant exits at least in a part of the periphery of the vehicle (10); an intersection calculating part (13) for obtaining the intersection of the virtual plane and occupant's visual line; and a projection part (14) for detecting a point on the image obtained by projecting the intersection on the image as an occupant's steady gaze position. |
