PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure in which single batteries constituting a battery pack can be efficiently cooled and when single batteries fire because of thermal runaway, the fire can be extinguished.SOLUTION: In the cooling structure, a plurality of flat single batteries 1 and a plurality of plate-like heat pipes 2 are disposed in a layered manner, such that the single battery 1 and the plate-like heat pipe 2 become perpendicular and the plate-like heat pipe 2 is brought into thermal contact with at least one side of the single battery 1. In an upper portion of a substrate 5, a heat dissipation part 9 is provided which protrudes higher than the single batteries and is brought into thermal contact with a cooling source. A heat pipe part 6, on the substrate 5, of the plate-like heat pipes 2 is provided by sealing a fire-extinguishable hydraulic fluid into a hollow endless hydraulic fluid sealing circuit 7 expanded outwards. The hydraulic fluid sealing circuit 7 includes a hydraulic fluid outflow part 8 which is fractured when inner pressure of the heat pipe part 6 abnormally increases, to allow outflow of the fire-extinguishable hydraulic fluid. |
