PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transition piece damage repair method capable of repairing a wide range repair easily without accompanying any deformation of a composing member of the transition piece and provide a transition piece.SOLUTION: A transition piece damage repair method in this preferred embodiment comprises the steps of removing oxide film 65 at an outside surface 21b and a coating layer 50 of an inner surface 21a of a base material 21 of the transition piece 20 having damage, immersing the base material 21 in a container storing slurry brazing repair material and adhering brazing repair material to inside and outside surfaces, diffusion heat treating of the base material 21 adhered with the brazing repair material, repairing damage formed at the outside surface 21b, brazing the brazing repair material to the inside and outside surfaces and concurrently applying solution heat treatment to them, finish processing the inside surface 21a, applying aging treatment to the base material 21 and stacking up on the brazing repair material of the inside surface 21a to form the coating layer 50. |
