PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of efficiently exhausting heat and humidity generated in a fixing device without increasing the size of the apparatus, and preventing dew condensation around a paper conveyance path.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus (color printer 1) includes an apparatus body 10, a fixing device (fixing unit 5), and air exhausting means for exhausting a high-temperature and high-humidity air generated from the fixing device. The air exhausting means includes an air exhaust fan EF; and the air exhaust fan EF is installed so that an axial direction of the air exhaust fan EF forms an angle with a paper conveyance path 8 arranged above the fixing device (fixing unit 5), and an air exhaust path on the downstream side in the air exhaust direction of the air exhaust fan EF is formed narrower than the path on the upstream side in the air exhaust direction of the air exhaust fan EF. An air supply fan SF supplying an external air is attached to the inside of an air supply opening SO provided to the apparatus body, and an air supply duct SD is attached to the air supply fan SF for guiding a supply air flow from the air supply fan to a lower surface of an image formation device forming an image. |
