The tank ventilation device (6) has a fuel vapor accumulator (61) that is connected with a fuel tank (51) over a trunk line (62) and with a vacuum reservoir (65) over a vent line (63). An electrical controllable tank ventilation valve (66) is arranged in the vent line. The number of mechanical pressure valves (68) is provided corresponding to number of cylinders (Z1-Z4) of a combustion engine (100). The valve openings of the mechanical pressure valves are connected with combustion chambers (26) of cylinders and connected with the vacuum reservoir over vacuum piping (67). An independent claim is included for method for controlling tank ventilation device.
