摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring laser gyro which does not use a piezoelectric element for dither detection.SOLUTION: The ring laser gyro includes: a laser beam receiving unit 60 for receiving a laser beam fetched from a gyro block 11; a laser beam intensity measurement unit 70 for measuring intensity of the laser beam received by the laser beam receiving unit 60; a dither mechanism 31; a dither controller 80 for driving the dither mechanism 31; and a gyro case 50 for storing the gyro block 11: the laser beam receiving unit 60 being fixed to the gyro case 50. The laser beam receiving unit 60 has a light receiving surface 61 for receiving the laser beam from the gyro block 11, and detects a light receipt position of the laser beam on the light receiving surface 61 to output location information indicating the light receipt position. The dither controller 80 drives the dither mechanism 31 on the basis of information indicating an amplitude of the light receipt position which is obtained from the location information.
