PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To streamline installation of a segment and discharge of excavated soil in constructing a shield tunnel.SOLUTION: A shield machine 1 excavates earth at a tip section and assembles segments at a rear section. A portal trestle 10 posterior to the shield machine 1 is mounted with cranes 11 and 12. The portal trestle 10 also has storage 13 under the same. Soil excavated by the shield machine 1 is conveyed by a belt conveyor 14 to a hopper 15 at a rear section of the portal trestle 10. The segments are carried in by dump trucks 20, which are tire type transportation vehicles traveling inside a portion of a tunnel already constructed, and unloaded on the storage 13 by the crane 11. Then, the excavated soil is loaded on the dump trucks 20 through the hopper 15 and carried out of the tunnel. |
