PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel effective in increasing the light emitting efficiency.SOLUTION: The plasma display panel includes a front panel 2 and a rear panel 10 disposed being opposed to the front panel 2. The front panel 2 has a dielectric layer 8 and a protective layer 9 covering the dielectric layer 8. The protective layer 9 includes a base film 91 and plural MgO particles 92 disposed over the base film 91. The MgO particles 92 include a first additive and a second additive. The first additive is at least one kind selected from a group of Al, F, Li, Ca, Be, Cr and Fe. The second additive is at least one kind selected from a group of Si, Ge and Sc. The weight concentration of the first additive in the MgO particles 92 is within a range of 0-50 ppm. The weight concentration of the second additive in the MgO particles 92 is within a range of 100-1000 ppm. |
