The invention relates to a cardiac activity monitor for sports activities, especially archery, comprising a PPG-type sensor and an attachment system suitable for positioning said sensor so that it faces an area of the body, allowing a photoplethysmogram to be performed. The monitor is characterised in that the attachment system is designed so as to be able to position the sensor in the vicinity of the tibia, at the interface between the muscle and the bone.
